Background Information

To become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon requires at least four additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Burns manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Burns practices a wide scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to trauma repair. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. He can also diagnose and treat facial injuries, and fractures.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Geist Oral & Facial Surgery is comprised of experienced, expertly-trained, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. They are CPR certified and trained to assist with intravenous (IV) anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. They will assist with your care before, during and after surgery.

Administrative Staff

The administrative staff at Geist Oral & Facial Surgery is well-trained and friendly. They are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in dental and health insurance policies and are CPR certified. Dr. Burns’ entire staff is ready and willing to assist with any issue that you may encounter as a patient in the practice.
