Fixed Implant Denture

For those patients who have suffered ill-fitting dentures or mobile, failing teeth for years, the provision of stable, comfortable, natural-looking teeth through dental implants can restore that self-confidence and vitality that has often been lost.

 
The placement of a fixed, implant-supported denture (commonly referred to as Teeth Now® or All-on-Four®) can be carried out for:

  • Patients who have previously lost their own teeth and currently wear dentures.

  • Patients who need to have their remaining teeth removed and are faced with the prospect of wearing dentures.

With this treatment, the temporary teeth are attached to the implants, so patients can be free from their dentures, usually within 24 hours of implant placement. Once the healing period is complete and the implants have integrated with the bone, a high-quality, durable, metal-reinforced fixed permanent denture is fitted.

Benefits of Fixed Denture Treatment

This treatment can offer patients:

  • A full arch (one jaw) or two full arches (both jaws) of fixed replacement teeth.

  • The placement of four to six dental implants at strategic positions and angles to support a ten-tooth denture.

Treatment Steps

Step 1:

  • Fabrication of temporary denture

  • 3-D imaging (CT scan) of treatment areas

  • Impressions for dental lab workup

Step 2 (approximately 6 weeks after Step 1):

  • Teeth extraction (if necessary)

  • Implant placement

  • Temporary fixed 10-teeth denture or removable temporary denture, placed within 24 hours of implant placement

  • Aftercare during healing period

Step 3 (approximately 3 months after Step 2):

  • If removable denture placed at Step 2: fabrication of fixed acrylic denture

  • If temporary fixed bridge placed at Step 2: fabrication of permanent fixed metal and acrylic or zirconia denture

Step 4 (only needed if removable denture is placed at Step 2):

  • Fabrication of permanent fixed metal and acrylic or zirconia denture

 
 

Treatment Package Includes:

  • Impressions (diagnostic casts)

  • Dental CT Scans

  • Diagnostic Photos

  • Extractions (if needed)

  • Smoothing of the bone (alveoloplasty)

  • Four to six dental implants (no additional fee for additional implants)
